The Colourstart test has been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the U.K. to be sold for teens starting from the age of 16. The test contains two skin patches which can be used to discern an allergic reaction to hair dye which contains the chemical, paraphenylenediamine (PPD).
